Messages

The Messages module allows you to display short messages to logged-in Users, which may contain information about, for example, some important customer or situation in the company.

Go to Administration → Advanced → Messages.

To add a new message click file:

As part of the configuration of a given message, you can configure such functions as:

  • Message content - message that will be displayed to Users,
  • Highlighted - determines whether the message requires the Agent to mark it as read (by default the message will be opened),
  • Define the dates of the message display - specifies at what time the message is to be displayed to Consultants,
  • Show the message to selected user groups - defines to which group the message should be directed (default is to all),
  • Message color - background color for the entered content.

Important...⚠️

The character limit for the message content is 700. Links as well as emoji are allowed in the message content.

After completing the necessary data related to the message, click file.

The newly added message will appear in the message list:

The message overview includes information such as:

  • Content - message content,
  • Creation date - date the message was added,
  • Start date - start date of message display,
  • Expiration date - end date of message display,
  • Author - data of the User adding the message,
  • Last edited by - author of the last change,
  • User group - name of the group to which the message is addressed,
  • Actions - possibility to edit the message file or its removal file.

Added messages of type Highlighted or not will be functionally different, below is the principle of operation:

a) Highlighted

The above message requires clicking on file. Otherwise, until the message is confirmed to be read, the system will notify you of the communication by signaling file accordingly. The message will be collapsed by default after reading, but we can expand it permanently by clicking on file - then each time we click on the megaphone icon this message will be expanded.

b) Not highlighted

The message will be notified by signaling file, after clicking on the megaphone it will look like this:

The above message type does not require any approval, as long as it is available to the User it will be visible under the file button.

In the case of updating an existing message, such a message will be signaled to the User again with an appropriate note:

Users can additionally set themselves browser notifications related to new messages directed to them:
